Our Founder

Founded by Leo Berenguel, a US-Filipino inventor with four US patents, Isla Motors was born from a dream to create a mass transport solar e-trike that would generate local jobs and help existing tricycle drivers earn more for their families.

The Need

The Philippines and other developing nations urgently need to modernize the tricycles used for short-distance passenger transport. Current open-cabin gasoline tricycles are heavy, fuel-dependent, and fail to protect passengers from heat and rain. A modern solution is essential.

Our Solution

Our team has developed a closed-cabin vehicle weighing just 210 kg that can achieve a range of over 200 km, offering comfort, style, and protection. Using lightweight materials and cutting-edge innovations, we've created a solution that redefines local transportation.
